You got to know that I been around and I seen it.  Me personally, I watch.  I kick back, I watch, I listen.  I was already injected with game from my childhood, because I was surrounded by older cats.  And I ain't a four block muthafucka, I been around the world and back.

When I came in I brought a darker edge to the music.  And we got really influenced by Hip Hop.  Our main influence Hip Hop wise was Cypress Hill--their early albums.  We got the idea to do samples of guitars.  Rage Against The Machine did that and we were influenced by them.  We got into our own style of music.  We mixed a little bit of Hip Hop, a little Groove, Funk, everything

It's niggaz out there everywhere like us.  They're gonna feel the music, they're gonna relate to it.  Other niggaz can switch their game up.  You got the playa niggaz and you got all that.  But fuck it, we're gonna stay strictly West Coast and Gangsta over here, cause that's all we know.

When I first started Mac Dre was poppin.  E-40 was comin out so vicious back then.  He had just put out the little ep Let's Side, only on cassette. I remember the first time "Back To The Hotel" came on the radio I recorded it on cassette and took it over to 40's house, he used to stay in an apartment on the outskirts of Vallejo, played it for him.

On the last album, Movin On, me and Gangsta Blac collaborated over a track that was made by a producer called Black Out. We pursued it to the fullest.  The truth shall set you free, so they say.  We just told it like it was and we gave it our all and we received a great response from it.

It was when I was about seventeen. It got real for me when I turned around twenty-one. Before that I was just a regular street kid running with the knuckleheads. Trying to go to school, gettin my life together. Have dreams of being an athlete, goin to college one day.

The police stay on me a lot down here in Memphis.  They always wanna know where we at and what we doin, how much money we makin.  They harass me a whole lot.  They always come to check my pockets, throw us down on the ground, search us, search the car. Right now I'm just sick and tired of it.
